Hi!
I’ve gotten a lot of emails and messages from people in the
last few days regarding my decision to stop blogging. Most have been so
positive and that means so much to me. Thank you for caring! So, I decided to
come on here and let you know why I decided to stop blogging suddenly. In
simple terms…
It wasn’t fun anymore.
I’m naturally a happy-go-lucky girl that is full off energy
and life! I love fitness, running, anyway of being active and healthy, kicking
Celiac Disease’s butt and helping others realize that fitness is not just
something on the schedule, but a way of life.
In recent months (ok, the last year) I’ve faced injury after
injury though and it’s made it hard for me to write about the positives when
I’m faced with the frustration of not running or being as active as I'd like to
be. Don't get me wrong, I have so many positive and exciting things happening in my life! I'm truly blessed in that respect. It’s just not fun to write about being injured over and over again. And
because of that my content on the blog suffered. I wasn’t proud of my writing
any more and writing has always been something very personal for me. I just didn’t
like the direction G-Free Runner was taking.
I always promised myself that the day blogging wasn’t fun
anymore I’d quit. So that’s what I did.
After some time to process everything now, I realize I was
hasty in wanting to delete myself as G-Free Runner, not just the blog…but the
image I’ve formed through social media. It’s become a part of me…and not
something I’m ready to part with just yet. However, G-Free Runner needs a bit
of time and a bit of a facelift before it can be re-presented to the world of
social media.
I’m still running and still fighting through this latest
injury, but it’s a battle I’ve decided to face on my own, away from blogging
for a while.
You can still find me on other social media sites…and please
come say hello! Sasha pictures make an appearance quite frequently and I know
she’d love the attention ;)
